关于地图
Binika Map Poster & Print
Binika is a town in Subarnapur district, in western Odisha. It stands on the bank of the Mahanadi, one of the major rivers of eastern India. Here the river is broad and shallow for much of the year, with a wide bed of sandbars and shifting channels. Seen from above, that riverbed is often wider than the town itself.
The town's streets run parallel to the river and then turn inland towards farmland and the roads to Sonepur and other centres in the district. Like many places along the middle Mahanadi, Binika has a long connection with the river, and its ghats, temples and fishing are part of that link. Handloom weaving is also important in this part of Odisha.
A Binika map poster is organised around that single, dominant feature. The Mahanadi runs across the frame as a broad band with islands and sandbanks, and the town's street network clings to one bank. The contrast between the wide, open river and the dense cluster of lanes gives the print a clear sense of place.

Riverfront lanes
The oldest streets follow the line of the bank. They form a compact strip of houses and lanes where the town meets the water.
Inland roads
Roads lead away from the river through fields towards other towns in the district. They balance the curving river with straighter lines.

为什么选Binika
一张有意义的地图
A river town is best understood from above, and Binika's relationship with the Mahanadi is clear at a glance. The poster is meaningful for families from Subarnapur and for anyone who remembers standing on these banks.
Add a title, subtitle and coordinates of your choice. A family name, a festival date or simply "Binika, Odisha" all work well. Pick Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint makes the river shapes particularly crisp.
