Boyolangu Map Poster & Print
Boyolangu is a district in Tulungagung Regency, East Java, just south of the regency's main town. From above, it mixes suburban streets and rural villages, with roads running between house compounds and rice fields. The dense grid of central Tulungagung gradually loosens here into a more open, agricultural pattern.
The district is home to Candi Boyolangu, a brick temple site from the Majapahit period that tradition associates with Gayatri Rajapatni, a royal figure of that kingdom. Further south the land begins to rise toward the limestone hills near the southern coast, while the plains around Boyolangu are intensively farmed.
