The Jubba River
The river's winding course is the strongest line on the map. It bends past the town on its long journey from the Ethiopian highlands toward the coast.

关于地图
Bu’aale Map Poster & Print
Bu’aale is the administrative centre of the Middle Juba region in southern Somalia. It stands on the Jubba River, which gives the region its name and supports farming in an otherwise dry landscape. From above, the town is a compact cluster of low buildings and sandy lanes near the riverbank, with fields and scrub stretching out in every direction.
The Jubba is one of Somalia's only two major rivers that flow for much of the year. It rises in the Ethiopian highlands and runs south to the Indian Ocean near Kismayo. Irrigated plots and riverside woodland form a green ribbon along its banks that is easy to pick out from above, and on a printed map it becomes a strong, flowing line.
A Bu’aale map poster keeps the composition simple: the curve of the river, the paths and roads that converge on the town, and the loose grid of its streets. The restraint suits a place defined above all by the water that runs past it and the open land around it.

Riverside settlement
Buildings and lanes gather close to the water, because access to the river has long decided where people live, farm and trade.
Open plains
Beyond the edge of town, tracks run out across flat, lightly settled land. This leaves generous empty space on the poster around a small urban core.

为什么选Bu’aale
一张有意义的地图
For members of the Somali diaspora with ties to Middle Juba, a map of Bu’aale keeps a home town present from thousands of kilometres away. The river alone makes the place recognisable at a glance, and the spare lines suit both family homes and offices.
You can change the title and subtitle to show a family name, a date or a few words of your own, and edit the coordinates line if you wish. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. A free watermarked preview lets you check the layout before you buy.
