Wide, straight streets organise much of the town. On the poster they form a steady pattern that makes the plan easy to read.

关于地图
Budyonnovsk Map Poster & Print
Budyonnovsk lies in the east of Stavropol Krai in southern Russia, on the Kuma River. The land around it is open, gently sloping steppe. From above, the town spreads in a broad grid of wide streets, with larger blocks of Soviet-era housing and industry toward the edges and the river curving along one side.
The town was founded in the eighteenth century as Svyatoy Krest, Holy Cross, and was renamed in the twentieth century after the Soviet military commander Semyon Budyonny. It has long been a centre for the surrounding farmland, and it later became home to a large chemical industry.
A Budyonnovsk map poster shows a steppe town at its plainest: a wide grid of streets, a river winding past it and flat open land beyond. It is a clean, orderly portrait of a southern Russian town.

Kuma River
The river winds along the town's edge through the flat land. Its curves soften the regularity of the street grid and add movement.
Steppe surroundings
Farmland and open steppe spread outward in every direction. The large, calm spaces around the town suit the minimal black-and-white style.
