Town grid
Regular blocks radiate from the central area, giving Cedro a clear, compact shape that reads immediately when the map is reduced to black lines.

关于地图
Cedro Map Poster & Print
Cedro lies in the interior of Ceará, in northeastern Brazil's sertão, a semi-arid region of dry scrub known as caatinga. On a map the town is a compact grid of streets set in a wide landscape with few roads. Seasonal watercourses cut shallow lines through the land. They fill with water in the rainy months and often sit dry for the rest of the year.
Towns in this part of Ceará grew around cattle raising, small farms and the routes that crossed the interior. Cedro's layout follows a familiar pattern for the region. A central square and church are surrounded by regular blocks, with newer streets extending outward as the town has grown. Reservoirs and small dams nearby hold water through the dry season.
A Cedro map poster shows how clearly a sertão town stands out against its surroundings. The grid is tight and regular, while the land around it is marked only by roads, tracks and riverbeds. That contrast gives the design a calm, spacious feel. It is a map for anyone who calls this corner of Ceará home.

Seasonal rivers
Shallow watercourses wind through the dry landscape. On the poster they appear as fine, irregular lines crossing the open land around town.
Open caatinga
The semi-arid scrubland leaves wide empty areas on the map, broken only by the occasional road or track leading to farms and neighbouring towns.
