Winding old lanes
The older parts of town are laced with narrow, irregular lanes that grew organically rather than to any planned grid.

关于地图
Chākia Map Poster & Print
Chākia is a town in the East Champaran district of Bihar, on the wide alluvial plain north of the Ganges. The land is almost perfectly flat, so its shape on a map comes from human patterns rather than terrain. Narrow lanes twist between houses in the older parts, and the town merges into the surrounding villages without a sharp boundary.
Water is everywhere in this landscape. Ponds and tanks appear as small shapes scattered through and around the town, and the fields outside are divided by embankments and tracks. The wider district is fertile farming country, and that agricultural rhythm reaches right up to the edge of the built-up streets.
A Chākia map poster turns this dense, informal layout into a delicate linear drawing. The main roads provide structure, the lanes create a fine and irregular web, and the open areas of water and field give the composition room to breathe. It is a small-town portrait from north Bihar for people who carry the place with them.

Ponds and tanks
Small bodies of water dot the town and its outskirts, typical of the Gangetic plain and easy to pick out on the map.
Village fringe
Chākia blends into neighbouring settlements and farmland, so the map edges show clusters of houses separated by fields.

为什么选Chākia
一张有意义的地图
Many people from Champaran now live in Patna, Delhi or abroad. A map of Chākia gives them a piece of home that is clear, personal and easy to live with on a daily basis.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps in Hindi or with a family name, and add a date to the coordinates line. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
