Square-block grid
The centre follows the classic Pampas pattern of equal square blocks around a main plaza, producing a clean, almost mathematical design.

关于地图
Coronel Suárez Map Poster & Print
Coronel Suárez lies in the south-west of Buenos Aires province, on the open Pampas north of the Sierra de la Ventana hills. Like many towns in the region, it was laid out on a strict grid of square blocks around a central plaza, and the railway helped it grow.
The map shows that order clearly. Streets run in straight lines, with plazas at regular intervals, and the rail line cuts through at its own angle. Beyond the urban area, very large fields spread in every direction. Nearby are the three villages founded by Volga German settlers: Pueblo San José, Santa Trinidad and Santa María.
The town is widely known in the polo world, since some of Argentina's best-known players and teams have come from here. A Coronel Suárez map poster brings together the grid, the railway and the open plains that shape the town.

Railway line
The rail line crosses town diagonally to the grid, one of the few non-orthogonal lines on the map, and it marks how the town grew.
Volga German villages
The three colonies founded by Volga German immigrants lie nearby, small grid settlements of their own in the surrounding farmland.
