Mining colonies
Residential areas built for mine workers appear as separate, often regular clusters of streets, spread across the landscape rather than merged into one centre.

关于地图
Damua Map Poster & Print
Damua is a town in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh, set in the hilly, forested country of the Satpura range. It is part of the Pench coalfield area, and mining has shaped much of its growth, with colonies of housing built around collieries and connected by roads and railway sidings.
From above, this gives Damua a fragmented, multi-centred layout. Instead of a single core, clusters of streets appear around different sites, linked by longer roads that wind through the terrain, with patches of forest and open ground in between.
A Damua map poster reflects that industrial and natural mix. The rail lines give the composition firm, continuous strokes, the housing colonies add pockets of regular detail, and the hills and woodland leave open space. It is an unusual and honest image of a working town, and one that means a great deal to families connected to the mines.

Rail and roads
Railway lines and connecting roads thread between the settlements, forming the longest and most continuous lines on the map.
Satpura terrain
Forested hills and valleys surround the town, softening the frame and giving the map large areas of quiet, open space.

为什么选Damua
一张有意义的地图
Damua is home to many families whose lives have been tied to the coalfields for generations. A map of the town is a meaningful way to honour that, whether in a family home or far away.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a colony name or the year someone started work. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and download HD files for $9 or order a printed poster.
