Devarshola Map Poster
Devarshola sits in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu, in the hilly Gudalur area close to the borders with Kerala and Karnataka. From above it doesn't look like a compact town. It looks like a loose network of hamlets joined by roads that follow the land rather than a plan, bending around ridges and dipping into small valleys.
Tea estates cover much of the surrounding country, and on a map they show up as wide open blocks broken only by thin estate tracks. Where houses gather, the lines tighten into short lanes and small junctions, then open out again. The result is a drawing full of curves, with almost no straight edges.
