Informal centre
The core of Didy is a small group of streets and paths that follow the lie of the land. On the poster, the pattern looks organic rather than planned.

关于地图
Didy Map Poster & Print
Didy is a rural commune in the Alaotra-Mangoro region of eastern Madagascar, in the uplands between the Lake Alaotra basin and the forested escarpment toward the coast. On a map, the built-up area is small: a loose cluster of streets and paths set among fields, rice terraces and rolling hills.
Much of what the map shows is the land around the settlement rather than the settlement itself. Tracks lead outward to villages and farms, streams follow the valley floors, and larger areas of forest lie beyond the cultivated ground. The layout is informal and follows the terrain instead of a planned grid.
A Didy map poster is a portrait of a rural place, and it is more open than dense. It suits someone with a personal connection to the area, whether through family, fieldwork or a long stay, who wants something honest and understated to remember it by.

Valley streams
Small streams wind through the surrounding valleys and connect fields and rice paddies. Their fine lines give the empty space around the settlement some detail.
Tracks outward
Paths and dirt roads lead from Didy to outlying villages. They spread across the map like thin branches and show how the commune reaches into the hills.

为什么选Didy
一张有意义的地图
Some places are meaningful precisely because few people know them. A map of Didy can mark a family origin, a research posting or a volunteer year in a way no souvenir could.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are yours to personalise, and the print comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
