Dīvāndarreh is a town in Kurdistan Province in western Iran, north of the provincial capital Sanandaj. It sits in high, open country, and on the map it forms a compact urban area on relatively level ground. Its streets are organised along a few main roads, and newer blocks extend outward in a more regular pattern toward the surrounding fields.
The landscape around the town is characteristic of the Kurdish highlands, with broad valleys, gently rolling slopes, dry-farmed fields and seasonal streams that carry snowmelt in spring. From above, these features form an irregular, softly lined terrain. The town appears within it as a clear, dense cluster, linked to villages by long, winding rural roads.
