Mile-road grid
Arterial roads spaced a mile apart form a strict lattice across the whole area, giving the poster a strong underlying structure that holds the busier street patterns together.

关于地图
El Mirage Map Poster & Print
El Mirage sits in the western Phoenix metropolitan area, among the communities of the West Valley. On a map it is defined by the region's familiar mile-road grid: long, straight arterials dividing the land into large squares, each filled with its own pattern of curving residential streets and loops.
The town began in the 1930s as a small farmworker settlement and has grown into a suburban city. The Agua Fria River corridor runs along its eastern side, usually a wide, dry wash rather than a flowing river, and in a black-and-white print it appears as a pale, meandering band against the dense subdivisions.
An El Mirage map poster captures a very Arizona kind of geometry. The ruler-straight section lines contrast with the soft curls of newer neighbourhoods, and the empty desert washes add breathing room. It is a portrait of how the Sun Corridor grew outward from Phoenix, square mile by square mile.

Agua Fria wash
The Agua Fria River's broad, mostly dry channel runs north to south near the town's eastern edge, a soft natural line cutting through the otherwise engineered landscape.
Curving subdivisions
Inside each square mile, residential streets loop and bend into cul-de-sacs, producing intricate, almost decorative shapes that print beautifully at larger sizes.

为什么选El Mirage
一张有意义的地图
People hang El Mirage because it is where they bought a first house, raised children, or settled after moving to the desert. The map turns an everyday suburban layout into something graphic and personal, well suited to modern interiors.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a move-in date or street name, and pick from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand in particular echoes the desert palette.
