Winding lanes
Local roads curve along the higher ground, forming an irregular network of lines rather than a grid, which gives the poster a hand-drawn quality.

关于地图
Eruvatti Map Poster & Print
Eruvatti is in Kannur district, in the north of Kerala, a short way inland from the Malabar coast. Like much of this part of the state, it is less a town with a clear centre than a scattered settlement. On the map, houses line winding lanes, and low-lying fields, streams and dense palm cover fill the spaces in between.
The pattern is typical of Kerala's semi-urban belt: roads follow the higher ground, and water collects in the valleys, so the street network curves constantly instead of forming a grid. Junctions with shops serve as local centres, and the lanes branch out from them toward homes set among trees.
An Eruvatti map poster is an intricate composition of fine, looping lines spread evenly across the frame. There is no single dominant feature. Instead, the charm is in the texture: many small roads, streams and pathways that together describe a landscape that is lived in everywhere and crowded nowhere.

Streams and fields
Low areas between the roads hold small watercourses and cultivated land, adding soft, open shapes among the lanes.
Junction centres
Small clusters of buildings gather where main lanes meet, forming modest local centres across an otherwise evenly spread settlement.

为什么选Eruvatti
一张有意义的地图
Kerala families often live far from their home villages, in the Gulf, in other Indian cities or further away. A map of Eruvatti is a personal link to the lanes and fields they remember.
Edit the title, subtitle and coordinates to add a family name or a special date. Choose from five styles and download a 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF for $9, or order a printed poster.
