关于地图
Falāvarjān Map Poster & Print
Falāvarjān lies in Isfahan province, a short distance southwest of the provincial capital, on the plain watered by the Zayandeh Rud. From above, the town is a compact grid of streets surrounded by an intricate patchwork of gardens and fields. The river, which runs toward Isfahan, crosses the area in a broad, gently curving bed.
The whole landscape here depends on irrigation, and the map shows it clearly. Narrow plots, walled orchards and water channels create a dense, fine-grained pattern around the town. In recent years the Zayandeh Rud has often run dry for long stretches, but its course remains the defining line of the area.
A Falāvarjān map poster focuses on that relationship between town and water. Streets form a fairly orderly core, while the agricultural land around them breaks into countless small shapes. Rendered in black and white, the riverbed becomes a strong curved stroke through the image, holding together an otherwise intricate composition of plots and lanes.
