Freeway frame
Major freeways run along and near the city's edges, their thick lines and interchanges forming a strong outer frame around the finer street grid.

关于地图
Gardena Map Poster & Print
Gardena lies in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County, on the flat coastal plain between downtown Los Angeles and the harbour. Its map is a close, regular grid of residential blocks crossed by wide boulevards, with the Harbor Freeway along its eastern side and other freeways close by. There are few natural features to interrupt the pattern, which gives the city a particularly even texture.
The city has long had a strong Japanese American community, reflected in its restaurants, markets and cultural institutions. Gardena was also known for decades for its licensed card clubs, which made it a destination for poker players well before the game became mainstream. The name is often linked to the farms and gardens that once covered this land.
A Gardena map poster reveals the underlying order of this part of Los Angeles: straight streets, regular blocks and the heavy lines of freeways at the edges. It is a crisp, graphic image that suits modern interiors, and anyone who grew up among these neighbourhoods and still thinks of them as home.

Boulevard grid
Long commercial boulevards cross the city at regular intervals, dividing it into neat rectangles typical of the Los Angeles basin.
Residential blocks
Between the boulevards, small tightly packed blocks of houses create an even, textile-like pattern that looks especially sharp in black and white.

为什么选Gardena
一张有意义的地图
Gardena is a place of family restaurants, long-standing communities and neighbourhoods passed down through generations. A map of it is a thoughtful gift for parents, grandparents or anyone who has left the South Bay but still carries it with them.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates with a family name, a street or a year, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital files have no watermark, and matte prints come with an optional wooden frame.
