Ruled plot grid
Straight access roads divide the land into regular rectangles. This gives the print a geometric, orderly structure.

关于地图
Githunguri Map Poster & Print
This Githunguri lies in Machakos County, on the broad plains east of Nairobi, and should not be confused with the highland town of the same name in Kiambu. The terrain here is flatter and drier. From above, the settlement appears as a network of straight access roads and rectangular plots spreading out across open land.
Much of the area around the eastern edge of the capital has been subdivided in recent decades. Plots are laid out along simple grids, and houses gradually fill them in. The map therefore shows a place in the process of growing, with dense blocks in some areas and empty, ruled plots in others.
A Githunguri map poster of this area does not rely on grand landmarks. It records a new neighbourhood on the plains, with its straight roads, individual plots and the places families have chosen to build.

Open plains
Wide areas of undeveloped land surround the settlement, leaving plenty of quiet space around the linework.
Growing edges
Some blocks are densely built and others are barely touched. The map therefore records a place in the middle of change.

为什么选Githunguri
一张有意义的地图
For families who bought land and built a home here, this map records a real achievement. It is a picture of the plot and the roads around it at a particular moment.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can be personalised, for example with the year the house was finished. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the neat plot grid.
