Gremda Map Poster & Print
Gremda lies on the northwestern side of Sfax, Tunisia's second city, along one of the long roads that radiate out from the centre. Sfax's outskirts have a very particular structure: straight radial routes and ring roads divide the land into large sectors, which were traditionally filled with walled gardens and orchards. Gremda grew within this pattern, and on the map its streets fill the spaces between these long lines.
The Sfax region is one of the great olive-growing areas of the Mediterranean, and olive groves extend across the land beyond the suburbs in regular rows. Closer to the city, many of the old garden plots have been built over, creating a mix of houses, narrow lanes and remaining green enclosures. A Gremda map poster shows this transition from dense suburb to cultivated countryside.
The main road through Gremda provides a strong axis, with side streets branching off at intervals and blocks that follow old plot boundaries. The result is a map that is structured but not uniform, with irregular lanes packed between straight routes. In black and white, the radial pattern gives the poster a clear direction.
