Plain setting
The town sits on flat farmland, so its streets extend evenly without hills pushing them into curves. Field lines fill the space around the built-up area.

关于地图
Hajiawa Map Poster & Print
Hajiawa lies in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, on the open plain around Ranya, not far from the northern reaches of Lake Dukan. The land here is flat and farmed, ringed by the high ridges of the Zagros foothills. The town's map shows a compact street network set in a wide agricultural basin.
The streets are laid out in a fairly regular pattern along the main roads. Residential blocks extend outward, and field boundaries begin where the houses end. Roads connect the town to Ranya and other settlements on the plain. A Hajiawa map poster shows the balance between a modest, ordered town and the large open landscape around it.
The region, often called Raparin, is one of the farming areas of Iraqi Kurdistan, with grain fields and orchards watered by streams coming down from the mountains. The nearby lake is a large reservoir created by the Dukan Dam, and it shapes the geography of the whole district. For people from the area, the map is a clear, uncluttered image of home.

Lake Dukan nearby
The large reservoir lies close to the town. In a wider frame its shoreline can add a strong natural edge to an otherwise level landscape.
Mountain frame
Ridges of the Zagros foothills surround the Ranya plain, and the roads leaving the town head toward the passes that cross them.

为什么选Hajiawa
一张有意义的地图
Many families from the Raparin area have moved to Erbil, Sulaymaniyah or Europe. A map of Hajiawa keeps the town present in a new home, and it works as a gift, a memorial or simply a piece of design.
Write your own title and subtitle, add a date or a family name, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital download includes six sizes as PNG and PDF files, and printed posters are available too.
