Cherry Point runways
The crossed runways of the air station are the most graphic element on the map, long clean bars laid over the flat terrain east of town.

关于地图
Havelock Map Poster & Print
Havelock is in Craven County in eastern North Carolina, on flat coastal plain between the Neuse River and the Croatan National Forest. From above, the town is defined less by an old centre than by the large, precise footprint of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, whose runways cross each other in long straight lines to the east.
US 70 runs through the middle as the main spine, with shopping areas and residential subdivisions branching off it in cul-de-sacs and curving loops. To the north the broad Neuse River opens into wide water, and to the south and west the forest takes over, leaving large areas of unbroken space around the streets.
The air station has been the town's anchor for decades, and many families pass through on military postings. A Havelock map poster records that combination of runway geometry, suburban curves and wide estuary water, a place that people often live in for a few years and remember for much longer.

Neuse River shore
The Neuse widens into a broad estuary along the northern edge, giving the poster a large body of open water and an irregular shoreline of creeks and inlets.
US 70 spine
The highway runs straight through town, and most streets hang off it in loops and dead ends. It reads as the single line that ties the whole place together.

为什么选Havelock
一张有意义的地图
For service members and their families, Havelock is often one chapter among several postings. A map of it is a practical way to mark that chapter, the base, the neighbourhood and the river, alongside prints of other places you have lived.
Add a unit, a name or the years of your posting to the title and subtitle, and pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 HD files include six print sizes; printed posters ship from partners in 30+ countries.
