Hetmanate capital
For part of the eighteenth century Hlukhiv served as the seat of the Hetmans, and the main roads still converge on the historic centre that grew around that role.

关于地图
Hlukhiv Map Poster & Print
Hlukhiv sits in the far north of Sumy Oblast, close to the Russian border, where the land flattens into wide farmland and scattered woods. From above, the town reads as a dense centre with streets running outward, then thinning into detached houses, garden plots and field edges. The Yesman river runs along the town, a thin line with a green margin that breaks up the residential grid.
In the eighteenth century Hlukhiv was the residence of the Hetmans of Left-Bank Ukraine, which made it an administrative capital far larger in importance than in size. That period left churches, public buildings and a triumphal gate on the old road toward Kyiv. On a map these survive mostly as a road pattern, with broad routes converging on the historic core rather than bypassing it.
A Hlukhiv map poster shows a town of modest scale with an unusual past. The drawing has a clear centre, a ring of lower-density blocks and roads leading off to the edges of the sheet. It is a quiet composition, well suited to line work, where the density of the old core against the open ground around it carries most of the picture.

The Kyiv road gate
A triumphal gate from the Hetmanate era marks the old route toward Kyiv, and the road through it remains one of the clear spokes on the town plan.
River margin
The small Yesman river runs past the town with a strip of greenery along its banks, giving the tight residential streets a soft, irregular boundary on one side.

为什么选Hlukhiv
一张有意义的地图
People hang Hlukhiv for family roots in northern Ukraine, for a childhood spent there, or for its place in Cossack history. The plan is simple enough to read from across a room, yet detailed enough to find a particular street up close.
You can set your own title, a subtitle and the coordinates line, then choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital files cost $9 in six sizes, or a printed poster can be shipped with an optional wooden frame.
