关于地图
Hyvinge Map Poster & Print
Hyvinge, known in Finnish as Hyvinkää, is a town in the Uusimaa region, about an hour north of Helsinki. It grew around the railway in the nineteenth century, when it became a junction on the line from Helsinki to the north and the start of the line toward Hanko on the south coast. The town is home to the Finnish Railway Museum, housed at its historic station area.
On a map, the railway runs through the town as a strong straight line, and the streets of the centre are laid out along it. Beyond the centre, residential areas spread into forest in curving streets and clusters, separated by wooded ridges, open fields and small lakes. Sandy eskers left by the Ice Age shape the terrain.
A Hyvinge map poster shows a town that blends into its landscape. The compact centre, the railway corridor and the surrounding pattern of forest, lakes and suburbs form a calm, balanced image. It reads as typically Finnish in its mix of order and nature, with plenty of open space around the built-up areas.
