关于地图
Ibagué Map Poster & Print
Ibagué, capital of Tolima Department, sits on the eastern slopes of Colombia's Central Cordillera, where the mountains begin to open onto the valley of the Magdalena. The older districts lie close to the hills, and newer neighbourhoods fan out eastward across gentler ground. On a map this gives Ibagué an elongated form, dense and steep at one end and more spacious at the other.
The Combeima River descends from the snow-capped Nevado del Tolima through a narrow canyon before passing the city, and its valley is one of the defining features to the north-west. Smaller streams cut through the urban area, creating green corridors and breaks in the street pattern. The central grid, with its main square and cathedral, follows the Spanish plan found across Colombia.
Ibagué is widely known as the musical capital of Colombia, home to the Conservatorio del Tolima and to a long tradition of folk music festivals. An Ibagué map poster reflects a city shaped by its mountain setting, with streets that climb, bend and follow streams before reaching the open plain to the east.

Colonial centre
Around the main square, streets follow a clear grid laid out in the Spanish tradition, forming the densest and most orderly part of the city.
Stream corridors
Small rivers and ravines cross the urban area from the hills, leaving green, irregular lines that divide neighbourhoods and soften the overall pattern.
