Ibi Map Poster & Print
Ibi lies in western Gifu Prefecture, where forested mountains meet the northwestern edge of the Nobi plain. On a map the Ibi River is the defining line. It comes out of a narrow valley and widens into a broad gravel bed, and the town sits beside it on the flatter land.
The Yoro Railway ends here, and the terminus gives the town a clear point where rail, roads and the river corridor meet. The surrounding area is also linked to Kegon-ji, the temple that closes the long Saigoku Kannon pilgrimage in western Japan.
An Ibi map poster shows a place at a boundary. Dense contour-like valleys fill one side of the frame, and the rectangular fields and straight roads of the plain fill the other. The river runs between them and holds the design together.
