关于地图
Iringal Map Poster & Print
Iringal lies on the Malabar coast in Kozhikode district, close to the town of Vadakara. Like much of coastal Kerala, it has no single centre. Houses are spread through coconut groves and small plots, connected by narrow lanes that bend around property lines and water. On a map this becomes a fine, branching network that spreads evenly instead of gathering around a central square.
Water is a constant presence. The coast is nearby, and rivers and backwater channels cut through the land and mark natural boundaries between neighbourhoods. The main coastal road and the railway run roughly parallel to the shore and form the strongest straight lines in an otherwise organic pattern. Paddy fields and green areas leave open patches among the housing.
Iringal is home to the Sargaalaya Arts and Crafts Village, a riverside centre for traditional Kerala craftwork. It is also associated with the Kunjali Marakkars, the naval commanders who resisted the Portuguese along this coast and are remembered at a memorial nearby. An Iringal map poster shows a landscape where settlement, water and vegetation are closely mixed.

为什么选Iringal
一张有意义的地图
A map of Iringal suits people who grew up in the Vadakara area, families who have moved to the Gulf or further away, and visitors who came for the crafts village and stayed for the river. The fine network of lanes makes a detailed, textured print that holds up well at larger sizes.
You can personalise the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line, for example with a house name or a family date. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed posters come on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame, from partners in over 30 countries.
