Kadugli is the capital of South Kordofan state in southern Sudan, and on a map it is defined by terrain more than by planning. The town occupies low ground among the Nuba Mountains, so its built area stays tight while the surrounding hills show up as broad blank shapes that frame the streets on several sides.
The street pattern is loose and practical: a few main roads carry traffic in and out of the valley, and smaller lanes spread from them into residential blocks. Seasonal streams leave faint lines across the landscape. In minimalist black and white these marks read as a quiet sketch of a town that follows its ground rather than a grid.

A handful of main roads lead into the centre from outside the valley, forming the strongest lines on the map and linking the town to the rest of Kordofan.
