Compound street pattern
The streets frame walled family compounds rather than terraced blocks, so the town has a broad, cellular texture quite unlike a European or Asian grid.

关于地图
Koro Map Poster & Print
Koro is a town in the Mopti Region of central Mali, near the border with Burkina Faso. It lies on the Seno plain, the broad, flat country below the Bandiagara escarpment, an area closely associated with Dogon communities. The town serves as a centre for surrounding villages that grow millet and other dryland crops.
From above, Koro's map is loose and horizontal. The streets are broad and often unpaved, and they enclose compounds instead of dense blocks. Beyond the town, footpaths and cart tracks spread in many directions across the plain, linking it to villages and fields. A few more defined roads connect it with the wider region.
A Koro map poster reduces this landscape to its essentials: a central cluster of streets, and radiating tracks that fade into open country. Nothing is squeezed together, and the space around each line shows how people move across a wide plain. It's a quiet, graphic portrait of a Sahelian town.

Radiating tracks
Footpaths and cart tracks leave town toward nearby villages and fields. They form a web of fine lines across the Seno plain.
Seno plain
Koro lies on the flat plain below the Bandiagara escarpment, and the open surroundings let the town's shape stand out clearly on the poster.

一张有意义的地图
For people from Koro and the Seno plain, wherever they live now, this map keeps home in view. Its open, spacious composition is calm and suits minimalist interiors.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand's warm tone suits the Sahel especially well.
