Two former towns
The merged city still reads as more than one centre. Separate clusters of streets sit among farmland and are linked by main roads.

关于地图
Kōshi Map Poster & Print
Kōshi lies just north-east of Kumamoto city in Kyushu, on flat land that begins to rise toward the Aso highlands further east. It was formed in 2006 by merging two towns, and the map still shows several separate centres, not a single core. Residential streets sit among fields, with clear boundaries between them.
The area is known for agriculture, and farmland is part of the city's identity. From above, the rectangular fields and the looser suburban street pattern create a varied, layered texture. Main roads and a railway line cross the land and tie the districts together.
A Kōshi map poster shows a place that is neither dense city nor open countryside, but a careful mix of both. The regular fields, clustered neighbourhoods and linear transport routes give the sheet a quiet, well-ordered balance that suits minimal black-and-white printing.

Kumamoto plain
Flat land divided into neat agricultural plots gives the map a fine rectangular pattern that contrasts with the softer lines of the streets.
Toward Aso
To the east the terrain rises gradually toward the Aso highlands, and the settlement pattern becomes sparser as the land climbs.

为什么选Kōshi
一张有意义的地图
Kōshi is home to many people who work in Kumamoto or in the region's growing technology industry, as well as long-established farming families. A map of it records a place in the middle of change, in a form that stays calm on the wall.
You can personalise the title and subtitle, in Japanese or English, and set the coordinates line. The five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, let you choose how strongly the fields and streets stand out.
