关于地图
Kutiyāna Map Poster & Print
Kutiyāna is a town in the Porbandar district of Gujarat, in the Saurashtra peninsula. The surrounding country is mostly flat and agricultural, with fields stretching in every direction. On a map the town forms a compact, closely built centre, with a few roads leading out toward nearby villages and larger towns in the district.
The older part of Kutiyāna has the dense, irregular street pattern of a traditional Gujarati market town, with narrow lanes branching between tightly packed buildings. Toward the edges, the plots become larger and the streets straighter, and then the built-up area gives way to farmland. Seasonal watercourses in the area add soft curving lines to an otherwise level landscape.
A Kutiyāna map poster is for people who know the town from home or family, including residents and the many Gujarati families who now live in other cities and countries. The black-and-white drawing makes the compact centre and its surroundings easy to read and gives a small town a considered presence on the wall.

Radiating roads
Several roads leave the town toward villages and district towns and form the main lines of the composition.
Flat farmland
Level fields around Kutiyāna create a calm, open frame around the more complex street pattern at the centre.
