L.A.Sagaram is a small town in southern Andhra Pradesh, on the low coastal plain inland from the Bay of Bengal. The map shows a modest settlement: a core of streets and houses gathered along its main roads, with smaller lanes branching outward and farmland stretching in every direction. The landscape is flat and open, with few natural barriers to shape the town.
Much of the surrounding land is cultivated, with rice paddies and other crops watered by rain, canals and the traditional irrigation tanks common across this part of South India. The tanks appear on the map as rounded or irregular bodies of water, often edged by embankments, and they are some of the most distinctive shapes in the surrounding countryside.
