关于地图
Lumamē Map Poster & Print
Lumamē is a town in the Amhara region of Ethiopia, in the East Gojjam zone, standing on the high plateau of the region. It serves as a local administrative and market centre, and its map is typical of Ethiopian highland towns. A main road runs through it, with blocks of houses and compounds arranged on either side and smaller lanes leading off into the surrounding fields.
The plateau here is intensively farmed, with teff, wheat and other crops covering the gently rolling land. From above, that farmland appears as broad open space crossed by tracks and seasonal streams, while the town forms a clear, compact cluster. To the south the land eventually drops into the deep gorge of the Blue Nile, one of the great canyons of the region.
A Lumamē map poster records a place that is well known locally but rarely drawn in detail elsewhere. The town's plan is straightforward, and its simplicity is part of its appeal: a line of road, a grid of compounds and the open highland around them. It makes a thoughtful piece for anyone with family ties to Gojjam or memories of travelling this road.

Compound blocks
Behind the main frontage, houses and yards form irregular blocks linked by narrow lanes, giving the centre a fine, busy texture on the map.
Highland farmland
The surrounding plateau is open farmland, shown as broad space with tracks and streams, which leaves the town standing out as a clear, compact shape.

为什么选Lumamē
一张有意义的地图
People from East Gojjam living in Addis Ababa or abroad often want something concrete that recalls home. A map of Lumamē does that quietly, and it also makes a good gift for parents or relatives who still live on the plateau.
Personalise the title, set a subtitle with a name or a year and keep the coordinates line if you wish. Five styles are available, such as Sand or Blueprint, as $9 HD files or as a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
