Branching roads
The main roads split into smaller tracks as they leave town, creating a branching pattern that reads almost like a river system when drawn in black on white.

关于地图
Mahapleu Map Poster & Print
Mahapleu is in the Montagnes district of western Ivory Coast, a hilly and heavily wooded part of the country toward the borders with Liberia and Guinea. The map shows a town built along a few connecting roads. Its centre is fairly dense, and the edges thin out into scattered compounds and cultivated plots, where the street pattern follows the land rather than a surveyor's grid.
From above, the most noticeable thing is how the roads bend. They curve around slopes and streams, then branch into smaller tracks that lead out to fields and nearby villages. In a region of rolling terrain, even a small town ends up with an organic, almost hand-drawn outline. Clusters of buildings gather where routes meet, and green space fills most of the frame between them.
A Mahapleu map poster keeps all of this simple: the main routes as strong lines, the side lanes as fine ones, and plenty of white space for the land in between. It suits anyone with ties to the west of Ivory Coast who wants a sober record of one particular place, not a generic image of the country.

Hill country setting
The Montagnes district is known for its uplands and forest. Even on a street map the town's outline follows that terrain and avoids straight lines.
Open margins
Beyond the last buildings the map opens into wide empty space, so the dense centre stands out clearly against the surrounding land.
