关于地图
Makindu Map Poster & Print
Makindu is a town in Makueni County, in the dry eastern lowlands of Kenya, on the main corridor between Nairobi and Mombasa. The highway and the railway both pass through, and much of the town's life has grown along them. It is widely known for its Sikh gurdwara, a long-standing stop for travellers on the route.
On the map, the town takes a linear form. The main road and the rail line run in parallel across the landscape, and streets and plots branch off them on both sides. Beyond the built-up area, tracks spread out into the surrounding bush, and seasonal watercourses leave faint traces across the plain.
A Makindu map poster shows a classic corridor town: two strong lines crossing open country, with a settlement gathered where they meet. The design is spare, fitting a place defined by distance, travel and the wide spaces of the Kenyan drylands.

Railway line

Open bush
Around the town, sparse tracks lead into dry savannah, leaving large open areas that frame the settlement.
