关于地图
Mampikony Map Poster & Print
Mampikony lies in the Sofia region of northwestern Madagascar, in the lowlands drained by the Sofia River and its tributaries. The land is broad and fairly flat, and on a map the town appears as a small, compact settlement where roads meet, surrounded by open farmland.
Agriculture shapes the landscape. Around the town, fields spread across the plain, crossed by streams and channels that follow the lie of the land. The town itself serves as a local market and service centre for the surrounding rural communities, and its streets gather around the main road that passes through.
A Mampikony map poster shows a modest Malagasy town at the centre of an agricultural plain, with a small street network, a main road and the open land around it. It is a simple image, and for anyone connected to the Sofia region it records a real and specific place.
