关于地图
Māndvi Map Poster & Print
Māndvi lies on the southern coast of Kutch in Gujarat, where the Rukmavati River reaches the Gulf of Kutch. The map is shaped by water on two sides. The river estuary cuts along the town's edge, and to the south a long, straight beach faces the open sea. Between them, the old town is a tight mesh of narrow lanes that loosens into newer districts inland.
For centuries Māndvi was an important port for trade across the Arabian Sea to Arabia and East Africa. It is still known for building wooden dhows by hand along the riverbank, a tradition carried on in the same yards for generations. Near the coast stands the Vijay Vilas Palace, built as a summer residence for the rulers of Kutch.
A Māndvi map poster shows a port town drawn by the sea: the curve of the estuary, the long line of the shore and the old quarter pressed between them. In monochrome the coastline gives the composition a strong base. It suits people from Kutch, sailors and anyone who remembers the town's beach and shipyards.

为什么选Māndvi
一张有意义的地图
A map of Māndvi connects to the sea: a merchant family history, childhood summers on the beach, the smell of timber in the shipyards. It is an easy map to live with, with water giving it shape and the old lanes giving it detail.
Set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose among Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint and Sand both work particularly well with coastlines. The digital HD set costs $9, and printed posters can be shipped from partners in over 30 countries.
