The old centre
The historic heart is a close weave of short, bending streets around the parish church. It forms the darkest, most detailed patch on the map.

关于地图
Maracena Map Poster & Print
Maracena lies just north of Granada on the Vega, the broad fertile plain that the city has farmed and irrigated for centuries. It is part of Granada's metropolitan area, and from above you can see the space between the two places narrowing, with housing, ring roads and industrial estates spreading across what used to be open farmland.
The older core is a tight knot of narrow streets around the church and main square. Newer districts surround it in more regular blocks. On a black and white print, the contrast is clear: an intricate, dense centre in the middle, and a looser pattern at the edges where the field boundaries of the Vega still show.
Line 1 of the Granada metro runs through Maracena on its way from Albolote into the city, a narrow line joining the town to the capital. A Maracena map poster shows that relationship between a working town, the farmland of the plain and the larger city just to the south.

Metro corridor
The Granada metro's first line crosses the town on its way south. On the map it traces a clean line that links Maracena directly to the city.
Edges of the Vega
Around the built-up area, the geometry of irrigated plots and farm tracks can still be seen. These are traces of the agricultural plain that has long defined this part of Andalusia.

为什么选Maracena
一张有意义的地图
Maracena is home to many people who work in Granada but go back to a place with its own squares and its own rhythm. A map of those streets is a quiet, personal thing to hang.
Change the title and subtitle, or add a meaningful date to the coordinates line. The five styles are Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand works especially well with the warm tones of an Andalusian home.
