关于地图
Mataró Map Poster & Print
Mataró is the capital of the Maresme, the stretch of Catalan coast northeast of Barcelona. The city runs along the Mediterranean shore, and from above its shape is set by a series of parallel bands: the beach and port at the front, the railway and coastal road just behind, and the city rising up the slope towards the wooded hills of the coastal range.
The railway has a special place in the city's story. The line between Barcelona and Mataró opened in 1848 as the first railway on the Iberian Peninsula, and its tracks still run right along the seafront. Mataró is also where Antoni Gaudí completed one of his first works, a building for a workers' cooperative with distinctive wooden parabolic arches.
The old town sits a little back from the sea, with narrow lanes around the Basilica of Santa Maria, while later districts climb the slope in more regular blocks. A Mataró map poster brings out the city's layered geometry: a straight shoreline, a line of tracks, a compact historic core, and streets running up into the hills.

Old town core
Narrow, irregular streets around the basilica form a compact historic centre, clearly different from the more orderly blocks that surround it.
Marina and coast
The port's breakwaters make a clean geometric shape against the open sea and balance the long, straight shoreline on either side of it.

为什么选Mataró
一张有意义的地图
Mataró means summers by the sea, commutes to Barcelona and family roots in the Maresme. The map captures that mix of coastline and hillside in a clean, understated design that suits a city flat as well as a beach house.
Add your own title and subtitle, perhaps in Catalan, and keep the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download HD files in six sizes for $9 or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
