关于地图
Maykop Map Poster & Print
Maykop, the capital of the Republic of Adygea, sits on the Belaya River at the edge of the North Caucasus foothills. The city began as a Russian fortress in 1857, and its centre still shows that planned start. Its straight streets form a regular grid, and wide, tree-lined avenues run through the middle.
The Belaya runs along the city's western side in a broad, wooded valley. On the map, its winding channel, islands and green banks contrast with the straight grid. South of the city, the land rises toward the mountains. Roads follow the river valley upstream toward gorges and the high Lago-Naki plateau.
The name Maykop is also known in archaeology. A Bronze Age burial mound excavated here gave its name to the Maykop culture, one of the early cultures of the Caucasus. A Maykop map poster shows a calm grid city with the river on one side and the mountains beginning to the south.

Belaya valley
The river runs along the west side, with wooded banks and islands. Its winding course gives the map a natural edge and softens the grid.
Road to the mountains
South of the city, roads follow the valley toward the Caucasus. At the edge of the frame the land begins to rise, and the city ends in forest and hills.

为什么选Maykop
一张有意义的地图
Maykop is a city people remember for its green avenues and the mountains close by, and a map keeps both. Add a title in Russian or English, a family name or a date in the subtitle, and the coordinates on the last line.
Blueprint brings out the river, Classic and Noir sharpen the grid, and Paper and Sand add warmth. The $9 HD files include six sizes, 30×40 cm, 50×70 cm, A3, A2, 18×24 and 24×36 inches, as PNGs and print-ready PDFs.
