Compact centre
The town's streets cluster tightly around a few main roads. In print, this small, dense mark stands out clearly against the open land around it.

关于地图
Mendī Map Poster & Print
Mendī is a town in the western part of the Oromia region of Ethiopia. It serves the farming communities around it as a local market and administrative centre, in highland country that slopes westward toward lower land near the Sudanese border.
On the map the town is compact. Its streets gather around a few main routes, and houses thin out quickly into the countryside. Past the edge of town, the landscape takes over: rolling ground, fields and scattered homesteads, linked by tracks and minor roads. Watercourses cut down through the land, following the slope of the terrain.
A Mendī map poster is deliberately understated. It shows a small town at the meeting point of roads, set in wide open land. For people with family ties to western Oromia, the sparse lines hold a lot. The white space around the streets says as much about the place as the streets do.

Rural road network
Minor roads and tracks lead out from the town to farms and villages. They spread across the map in fine lines and give the composition its reach.
Highland terrain
Western Oromia is rolling highland cut by streams. The land around Mendī shapes where roads can run and where settlement gathers.

为什么选Mendī
一张有意义的地图
A map of Mendī is a quiet way to keep a hometown or a family's place of origin close, especially for people living far from Ethiopia. It shows the town's real shape, not an idealised one.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name, a date or a message in your own words. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
