关于地图
Motijheel Map Poster & Print
Motijheel is the central business district of Dhaka, where Bangladesh's banks, insurers and head offices cluster within a few crowded blocks. From above it looks less like a neighbourhood than a tight grid of large plots and wide avenues. Older residential lanes press in from the south, and the rail yards and station at Kamalapur lie to the east.
The headquarters of Bangladesh Bank is here. The district is also known for Shapla Chattar, a roundabout named after the water lily, the national flower. On a map the roundabout is a small circle where several major roads meet, and it serves as the visual centre of the whole area.
The name is usually translated as pearl lake, a reminder of the water that once lay here before the area was built up as a commercial district. A Motijheel map poster shows what replaced it: a close web of streets and blocks at the commercial heart of one of the most densely populated cities in the world.

Kamalapur rail yards
To the east, the tracks and platforms around Dhaka's main railway station form a broad band of parallel lines, in strong contrast to the office blocks.
Commercial grid
Large plots for banks and headquarters create a more regular pattern than the older lanes nearby. They show where the city's financial centre was planned.

为什么选Motijheel
一张有意义的地图
For many people, Motijheel is where working life in Dhaka began: a first office, a first bank job, or a daily commute to the station. A map of these few blocks makes a thoughtful gift for a colleague, a company founder or a new graduate.
The title and subtitle can carry a company name, a start date or a personal note, and you can edit the coordinates line too. Pick Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Then download the files, or order a matte print shipped by a print partner.
