Courthouse square grid
The downtown is set out as a regular grid centred on the Jefferson County courthouse, the classic plan of a Midwestern county seat that reads cleanly in black and white.

关于地图
Mount Vernon Map Poster & Print
Mount Vernon is the seat of Jefferson County in southern Illinois, and its map makes that role clear. At the centre is a regular street grid laid out around the courthouse square, with numbered and named streets crossing at right angles. Beyond the older blocks, the grid loosens into curving residential streets and larger commercial parcels.
The town's other defining feature lies on its western side, where Interstate 57 and Interstate 64 meet and share a stretch of road. On the map these highways form long, bold lines with sweeping interchange loops, a clear contrast to the fine texture of the downtown blocks and a reminder of the town's role as a regional crossroads.
A Mount Vernon map poster brings the two together: the nineteenth-century grid of a Midwestern county seat and the broad arcs of the interstate age. The town is also home to the Fifth District Appellate Court building, where Abraham Lincoln once argued a case, a small part of its long civic story.

Interstate junction
Interstates 57 and 64 meet on the west side of town and run together for several miles, drawing long, confident lines and large interchange loops across the map.
Residential curves
Away from the centre, newer neighbourhoods break from the grid into winding streets and cul-de-sacs, giving the outer parts of the poster a softer, looser texture.

为什么选Mount Vernon
一张有意义的地图
Mount Vernon is the kind of place people carry with them: a first job, a family home, a stop on the road between St. Louis and Louisville that became something more. The grid makes a clean, balanced print for a living room or office.
Set a family name, a wedding date or a street address in the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to match the room.
