Nardò Map Poster & Print
Nardò is in the province of Lecce, in the heel of Italy. From above, its historic centre is a tight cluster of narrow streets, with Piazza Salandra and its tall Guglia dell'Immacolata at the middle. The Baroque buildings of the old town were largely rebuilt after an earthquake in 1743, and the street plan still follows its medieval layout.
The municipality stretches west to the Ionian Sea at Santa Maria al Bagno, Santa Caterina and the Porto Selvaggio nature park, where pine woods meet a rocky shore. Inland, one of the most distinctive shapes in the region is the Nardò Ring, a circular high-speed test track about 12.6 kilometres long, used by carmakers for decades.
A Nardò map poster can include both the dense old town and the open landscape of olive groves around it. Seen at a wider scale, the perfect circle of the test track shows up clearly against the fields.
