Winding lane network
Narrow roads meander between house plots and trees. They create a delicate, lace-like pattern that rewards larger print sizes.

关于地图
Neduva Map Poster & Print
Neduva is a locality in the Malappuram area of northern Kerala, close to the Arabian Sea coast. The landscape is typical of the Malabar lowlands: flat ground, dense tree cover, and houses spread out along lanes rather than grouped in a compact centre. On the map this shows as a fine, irregular mesh of roads with few straight lines.
The coast, the canals and the backwater channels of this part of Kerala all influence the road pattern, and the railway along the coast adds a long, steady line to the composition. The streets curve around plots and waterways, which makes the texture of the map quite different from the planned grids of inland Indian cities.
A Neduva map poster is a quiet, detailed image. It will mean most to people with family here, including the many Malayalis working in the Gulf and elsewhere, who can see the exact lanes of their neighbourhood rendered in clean black and white.

Coastal railway line
The railway running near the coast cuts a long, straight line through the curving lanes and gives the composition a clear axis.
Water nearby
The sea and the local waterways shape where roads can go, and they leave open, pale areas along the edges of the map.
