关于地图
Nonoichi Map Poster & Print
Nonoichi borders Kanazawa to the south and shares its place on the broad, flat Kaga plain facing the Sea of Japan. From above the city is a dense mesh of residential streets, many laid out in regular blocks, broken by patches of paddy field that survive between housing areas. Rail lines and main roads pass through on their way toward central Kanazawa and the towns to the south.
Nonoichi became a city in 2011 and is one of the smallest municipalities in Ishikawa by area, which gives it an unusually concentrated plan. It is home to the Kanazawa Institute of Technology, whose campus forms a distinct block on the map. The Tedori River, which built this fertile plain, flows not far to the south.
A Nonoichi map poster shows a Japanese suburb in fine detail: narrow lanes, orderly blocks, small parks and the straight strokes of the railways. Printed in black and white, the density becomes a pleasing texture, with the remaining rice fields as calm open spaces among the streets, a reminder of the farmland the city grew from.

Remnant paddies
Pockets of rice field remain between newer neighbourhoods, drawn as open, rectangular spaces that give the dense map some breathing room.
Rail corridors
Local rail lines cross the city toward central Kanazawa, cutting clean, straight paths through the residential mesh and anchoring the composition.

为什么选Nonoichi
一张有意义的地图
Students who spent their university years here, and families who chose Nonoichi for its quiet streets close to Kanazawa, often want something to remember the neighbourhood by. A map of the city is personal without being sentimental.
Write your own title and subtitle in the editor, adjust the coordinates line and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The Paper and Sand styles suit a light, minimal interior particularly well.
