关于地图
Oguta Map Poster & Print
Oguta sits on the shore of Oguta Lake in Imo State, in southeastern Nigeria. From above, the lake is the main feature, a broad body of water with an irregular shoreline. The town spreads along its edge, with streets running down toward the water. Channels connect the lake to the river network flowing toward the Niger.
The lake has long made Oguta a trading and fishing town. During the Nigerian Civil War, it was the site of fighting because of its strategic waterway. Oguta is also the hometown of Flora Nwapa, widely regarded as the first African woman to publish a novel in English, whose work often draws on life in the lake town.
An Oguta map poster is built around its water. The curves of the shoreline, the town's streets and the channels leading out to the river system all appear in one frame. In monochrome, the lake becomes a large calm shape anchoring the composition. It is a map of a town that has always faced the water.

为什么选Oguta
一张有意义的地图
For Oguta families at home and across the diaspora, the lake is the image of home. A map with its shoreline and streets gives that feeling a lasting place on the wall, and makes a meaningful gift.
Add a family name, a quarter of the town or a meaningful date to the title and subtitle. Choose one of five styles; Blueprint emphasises the lake. Printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries, or download the $9 HD files.
