关于地图
Pedana Map Poster & Print
Pedana is a town in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh, in the low, flat country of the Krishna delta near the coast. The map shows a compact centre of streets and lanes set among irrigated paddy fields, with canals and drainage channels crossing the land in long lines and roads linking it to nearby Machilipatnam.
Pedana is best known for its Kalamkari textiles, printed by hand with carved wooden blocks and natural dyes. The craft has a long tradition in the town, and Machilipatnam Kalamkari, produced largely in Pedana, has a geographical indication. Many families in the town work in printing, dyeing and weaving.
A Pedana map poster reflects the delta landscape: a dense town core, a surrounding mesh of fields and straight waterways, and small villages scattered across the plain. In black and white it has an almost textile quality of its own, with repeating lines and small blocks.

为什么选Pedana
一张有意义的地图
For families whose work is tied to Kalamkari, or for anyone who admires the craft, Pedana is a meaningful place. A map of the town is a quiet way to honour where the prints come from.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised with a family or workshop name, and the map is available in Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand pairs well with natural-dye textiles.
