关于地图
Pentecoste Map Poster & Print
Pentecoste is a municipality in the interior of Ceará, in north-eastern Brazil, inland from Fortaleza in the semi-arid country known as the sertão. The town lies along the Curu River. On a map its compact centre of streets and squares sits close to the river's course, with roads heading out across open land.
The area's defining feature is water held back in a dry climate. The Pereira de Miranda reservoir, built on the Curu, spreads beside the town with an irregular shoreline that follows the valleys it flooded. From above it reads as a large, branching shape, far bigger than the town itself.
Irrigated plots along the river and the lake form a green contrast in a landscape that stays sparse for much of the year. A Pentecoste map poster turns this into a clean composition: the small grid of the town, the line of the river and the broad, sculptural outline of the reservoir.

Curu River
The river that feeds the reservoir runs past Pentecoste toward the Atlantic. It is drawn as a slender line linking the town to the coastal plain beyond.
Compact centre
The town's centre is a tight group of streets and squares, a small but clear urban pattern set against the wide open land of the sertão.

为什么选Pentecoste
一张有意义的地图
For people from Pentecoste who now live in Fortaleza or further away, the reservoir and the river are the landmarks of childhood. A map keeps both in view and turns a small interior town into something worth framing, simple, honest and personal.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Download 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files for $9, or order a matte printed poster with an optional frame.
