Pleasanton Map Poster & Print
Pleasanton lies in the Amador Valley in the east of the San Francisco Bay Area, in Alameda County. From above, Interstate 580 and Interstate 680 cross at its northern edge and dominate the layout. To the south of that junction, curving residential streets and cul-de-sacs fill the valley floor, and business parks line the freeways. The Pleasanton Ridge rises steeply to the west.
The historic downtown is centred on Main Street, a compact core of older blocks, and the Alameda County Fairgrounds with its racetrack sit beside it. A BART line ends at the northern edge of town. Pleasanton is also home to major company headquarters, including the software firm Workday, which gives parts of the town the look of a corporate campus.
A Pleasanton map poster brings these layers together. There is the big interchange, the loops of suburban streets, the small grid of the old town, and the oval of the fairground track. To the west, the empty hillsides of the ridge frame it all. In monochrome, the balance of dense streets and open hills is clean and very recognisable.
