Chubut River
The river winds past the town in wide, slow curves before it reaches the Atlantic. It is the strongest line on the map and the reason the Welsh settlement took root here.

关于地图
Rawson Map Poster & Print
Rawson is the capital of Chubut Province in Argentine Patagonia. It sits on the Chubut River a few kilometres before the river meets the Atlantic. Welsh settlers who arrived on the ship Mimosa founded it in 1865, which makes it the oldest town of the Welsh colony in the lower Chubut valley. The town is named after the Argentine minister Guillermo Rawson.
From above, the town is a tidy grid laid out beside the river, with government buildings set among ordinary residential blocks. Downstream the river bends toward the sea. Puerto Rawson and the beach settlement of Playa Unión spread along the coast there and form a second, looser cluster of streets, linked to the centre by a short road.
The lower valley around Rawson is a green strip of irrigated farmland cutting through dry Patagonian steppe, and the contrast shows clearly even on a monochrome print. A Rawson map poster brings together river, grid, port and shoreline. It shows a small capital shaped by water, in a landscape otherwise defined by wind and open space.

Playa Unión
The seaside district east of the centre forms its own neat block of streets along the beach. It is a popular summer destination for residents of Rawson and nearby Trelew.
Puerto Rawson
Fishing boats use the small port at the river mouth. Its jetties and quays mark the exact point where the Chubut River meets the open sea.

为什么选Rawson
一张有意义的地图
Rawson is where the Welsh story in Patagonia began, and it is still the seat of provincial government. A print suits anyone with family roots in the Chubut valley, anyone who has worked or studied there, or anyone who spent summers at Playa Unión.
You can add a family name or a year to the title, write your own subtitle, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Blueprint suits the river and coast well. Classic black & white, Noir, Paper and Sand are the other options.
