Rezé Map Poster & Print
Rezé sits on the south bank of the Loire directly across from Nantes. On a map, the river and its arms form the town's northern edge, and the Sèvre Nantaise curves along its eastern side before joining the Loire. Between these waters, streets spread southward in a mix of old village centres, post-war housing and newer suburbs, with no single dominant grid.
Along the Loire, the former fishing village of Trentemoult keeps its narrow lanes and colourful houses, reached from Nantes by a river shuttle. Further inland stands the Maison Radieuse, one of Le Corbusier's large residential blocks, completed in the 1950s. Rezé also has ancient roots: it was a Gallo-Roman river port, and archaeological remains have been found near its centre.
A Rezé map poster shows a town defined by water on two sides. The broad Loire and its channels dominate the upper part of the composition, the Sèvre makes a winding boundary to the east, and the street network fills the land between in a loose, varied pattern. Bridges link it to Nantes, drawing strong lines across the river.
