关于地图
Riohacha Map Poster & Print
Riohacha is on the Caribbean coast of northern Colombia. It is the capital of La Guajira, the peninsula that reaches toward the northernmost point of South America. From above, the city is laid out along a long, straight beach. A seafront promenade runs along the water, and a regular grid of streets extends inland from it. At the western edge, the Ranchería River reaches the sea through a mouth of channels and wetland.
The most recognisable feature on the map is the long wooden pier that runs straight out into the sea from the promenade. It is a fine, clear line cutting through the open water. Riohacha is also the main city of the Wayuu, the Indigenous people of La Guajira. Their woven mochila bags and hammocks are sold along the seafront, and further inland the dry, flat peninsula begins.
A Riohacha map poster is built around a simple, strong composition: a straight coast, a regular street grid, a river delta on one side and the thin line of the pier crossing the sea. There is a lot of open water above the city, which gives the print a spacious, calm balance. It is a way to keep the light, flat Caribbean coast on the wall.

Seafront grid
Streets run inland at right angles from the straight beach. The result is an orderly block pattern with the coast as its base line.
Ranchería mouth
West of the centre, the river splits into channels and wetland before it reaches the Caribbean. It softens the edge of the city grid.

为什么选Riohacha
一张有意义的地图
People hang Riohacha on the wall because they come from La Guajira, have Wayuu family roots or remember evenings on the promenade. The coast and the pier make it an easy map to recognise.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital files are $9 and have no watermark.
